#the original bond between cat/brienne was beautiful #because she never had a mother and cat is the best mother of all time basically #but what really gets me is that normally this is something men do #swearing oaths and taking them and what have you #but here are these two women…sort of out of place and lost in the world #and they are doing just that. but it isn’t an empty mindless thing for them. they care about each other too. they care about #each other’s needs and feelings #this is how lords and knights SHOULD be #this is the sort of bond that makes knights truly honorable
